Missing The Pieces was built to find what is missing.
What began as a mission to create practical tools for people searching for identity, purpose and direction has grown into an ecosystem that now serves individuals, families, athletes, brands and organizations.
The work has expanded. The mission has not.
Build the piece that helps everything around it become more complete.
A calling that became a company.
“My life's mission is to build God's Kingdom on earth by helping people gain the pieces they are missing through deeper connection to Him.”Founder's Calling Statement
Missing The Pieces was founded on a simple conviction: people are often closer to their God-given identity and purpose before the world tells them who they are supposed to become.
The work started with tools, coaching and stories designed to help people reconnect with what had been buried beneath pressure, pain, expectation and circumstance.
Over time, that same way of thinking expanded. The question was no longer only, “What piece is this person missing?” It became: “What piece is this athlete, family, brand, story or community missing?”
That question now powers everything built under Missing The Pieces.
The vision kept getting bigger.
Missing The Pieces did not abandon its original purpose. It kept discovering more places where that purpose could be applied.

Whether the assignment is a person trying to understand purpose, an athlete preparing for life beyond sport, a television character searching for redemption, or a brand trying to create a deeper relationship with an audience, Missing The Pieces looks for the piece that changes everything around it.
The convictions underneath everything we build.
Purpose isn't found. It's remembered.
People are often closest to their calling before pressure, expectation and circumstance teach them to become someone else.
Identity comes before assignment.
Titles, roles, sports, careers and relationships can change. The strongest life is built from knowing who you are before deciding what you do.
Think in ecosystems, not single ideas.
The best idea may begin as a commercial, workbook, athlete partnership or television show — but its real value may be everything it can become next.
Stories can do what information alone cannot.
Information explains. Stories let people see themselves, feel something, remember it and imagine a different future.
Athletes are people before they are properties.
The strongest athlete strategy begins with identity, personality, purpose and life beyond performance — then builds the brand relationship around the person.
Build for lasting value.
We look beyond the campaign cycle toward intellectual property, franchises, platforms, communities and tools that can continue creating value for years.
God is not a department of the company.
Faith is the foundation beneath the purpose work, the storytelling and the responsibility to build things that help people and culture move toward something better.
Donald Gibson
Founder; Creative & Brand Strategist
Donald Gibson is a creative & brand strategist, television writer, curriculum developer and certified life coach. His work sits at the intersection of story, strategy, athlete development, brand building and human transformation.
Rather than separating those disciplines, Missing The Pieces was built around the belief that they strengthen one another: coaching creates deeper questions, writing creates better stories, strategy creates stronger systems, and lived experience creates empathy for the people those systems are meant to serve.
The result is a company capable of building for two very different audiences without losing its identity: the person looking for a missing piece in life, and the organization looking for a missing piece in its strategy.
We build what helps people move forward.
And what helps ideas become bigger.
